St Paul’s Slough Parish Administrator

NB: Post is open to male and female applicants from all cultures and ethnic backgrounds.

In the heart of Slough town, St Paul’s is a Bible-based and Christ-centred intercultural worshipping community within the Church of England and Global Anglican Communion. We seek to appoint a Parish Administrator.

 

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Managing the church office;
  • Providing administrative support for the Vicar, staff team and PCC officers;
  • Handling internal and external information, communication, and technology;
  • Coordinating Church building hires and events;
  • Acting as the point of initial contact within the Church
  • Mobilising ministry volunteers.
 

Personal attributes should include:

  • Willingness to support the mission, vision, values and attributes of St Paul’s Slough through dedication to administrative tasks;
  • Willingness both to take responsibility and be part of a team;
  • Spiritual maturity, with a deep relationship with God through His Word, prayer, and the work of the Holy Spirit;
  • Able to work well with a broad and diverse range of people and context
 

Skills and competencies should include:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills;
  • Excellent written and communication skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and to work to deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

 

Education, qualifications, and experience

  • At least three years’ work experience in an administrative role;
  • Full driving licence (desirable).

 

Other Essential Requirements include:

  • Reliability and discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
  • A willingness to make St Paul’s Church, Slough your home church family.
  • A capacity to work much of the time without supervision
  • Proactive in fostering good relationships with ministry and operations team, renters, other regular contacts, and volunteers
  • Familiarity with the Church of England structures
